Coutinho Looks Set To Complete €150 million Barcelona Deal

Coutinho may swap Liverpool for Barcelona

English premier league team, Liverpool look increasingly likely to loose Philippe Coutinho to Spanish giants, Barcelona during the current January transfer window.

Barcelona have had a long standing interest in Coutinho but Liverpool had insisted their playmaker is not for sale.

Reports by goal.com, however suggest that Barcelona are putting together an offer in excess of €150 million for the 25-year-old Brazillian star which may force the English club to sell.

Should the deal be successful, Coutinho would become the third-most expensive footballer in the world.

Neymar’s €222m move from Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain, and Kylian Mbappe’s €180m move from Monaco, also to PSG are still ahead of Coutinho’s proposed move.

The move for the 25-year old Liverpool star is been spear headed by Barcelona’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu and chief executive Oscar Grau.

The playmaker’s representatives Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci are also keen to see the deal go through.

Coutinho has scored 12 goals and put in 8 assists in all competitions during the current campaign.

He joined Liverpool from Inter in January 2013 for just £8.5m and has since scored 54 goals for Liverpool in 201 appearances.
