4 Killed, 36 Escapes Prison Break In Akwa Ibom

At least four persons were killed as a result of a prison break in Akwa Ibom state.

36 prisoners are still at large and seven have been recaptured after the incident at the Ikot Ekpene prison.

Search parties have been activated to effect the recapture of the prisoners who had attacked kitchen staff before escaping.

Meanwhile, the Controller of Prisons, Akwa Ibom State Command, Alex Oditah has ordered an investigation into the unfortunate incident.

Oditah appealed to members of the public to assist with useful intelligence that will aid their investigation.
