Find A Solution To Fuel Scarcity – ADP Tells Buhari
-It’s shameful for Osinbajo to detatch the NNPC from the Feederal Government ADP Chairman
ADP charges Buhari to find solution to fuel scarcity
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari should find a solution to the prolonged fuel scarcity affecting the nation.
Since December began, Nigerians have been plagued with hardship in getting fuel due to its scarcity, and persons who are lucky to purchase fuel, have had to pay huge sums above the N145/litre benchmark.
The Chairman of ADP, Yabaji Sani made the statement which was issued on Thursday by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Kayode Jacobs.
The ADP also ctiricised Vice President Yemi Osibanjo for remarking that that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that had been paying for subsidy and not the Federal Government.
The VP’s assertion raised questions on the difference between the NNPC and the government.
Sani said: “One of the major reasons Nigerians trusted their destinies in the hands of President Buhari was the boast on having solutions to rampant fuel crises and subsidy regime but only two years after the queues are back and government remains helpless with evidence that nothing concrete had been done to permanently solve the problem.
“It is shameful and that NNPC and not government is paying subsidy at this time, I ask whether NNPC is different from government.”
