Okorocha approves extended Christmas Break For Imo Workers

-The government also stated it has paid salaries up till December to enable workers enjoy blissful celebrations. 

Imo workers get extended Christmas holiday.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, has given civil servants in the state a 18-days Christmas holiday.

Okorocha directed that civil servants in the state are to vacate for the Christmas holiday on Friday, December 22, 2017 and resume duties on Monday, January 8, 2018.

The government decision is to give workers in the state ample time to relax and celebrate with their family and loved ones.

Workers on essential duties are however exempted from the extended holiday break.

The development is as contained in a press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Sam Onwuemeodo.

He said, “Government has paid salary to workers in the state up to December to enable them also enjoy the Christmas. This is to wish them a blissful yuletide.”
