Olori Kudirah is dead.

Olori Kudirah Adetunji, the most senior wife of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has passed away.

Naija News gathered that Olori Kudirah died at age 71 in the early hours of Thursday.

A statement by the Director, Media and Publicity to the monarch, Adeola Oloko, said that the queen died in the early hours of the day at the age of 71.

“The Olori passed away in the early hours of Thursday December 21, 2017. Until her death, she was the Iyaloja of Bolade, Oshodi Market, Lagos.

“She will be buried today (Thursday) at the Popoyemoja, Ibadan palace of Olubadan of Ibadanland at 4pm according to Muslim rites.

“She is survived by her husband, many children and grand-children,” the statement said.

A palace source also confirmed to Daily Post that she would be buried at 4.pm today according to Islamic rites, though details surrounding her death is yet to be revealed.

The source said “We lost the most senior wife (Olori) Kudirah this morning.

“She would be buried today at 4.pm in line with Islamic injunction”.
