Ogun State Custom Command Recovers Goods Worth 5.7 billion

The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria customs service has seized goods worth more that 5.7 billion Naira between January and November, 2017 from anti smuggling activities in the command area.

The Comptroller, Sani Madugu revealed this while briefing journalists at the Idiroko office of the agency on the latest seizure made within the last one week.

Madugu said the command seized a total of 1,305 bags of rice, 4 foreign used vehicles and 117 jerrycan of vegetable oil.

Madugu said despite the allocation of 11,990 bags of rice to the Internally displaced camps by the Federal government, the Command still has over 19000 bags of rice in its warehouse.
