Fuel Scarcity: Sokoto State To Prosecute Fuel Hoarders

The Sokoto state government says it will prosecute culprits caught hoarding petrol to cause artificial scarcity in the state, an official said.

Chairman Task force on Petroleum sale in Sokoto state Malam Ibrahim Magaji Gusau, said the government planned to notify all stakeholders in the sector before embarking on this action.

The fuel scarcity in the state has resulted to long queues in some of the few petrol stations with fuel supply as black marketers that were hitherto out of business suddenly returned to the streets.
