Former chairman  of the Pension Reform Task Force Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, has told his critics to focus  on Aso Rock where high profile public officers he accused of siphoning public funds are still in position of power.

Maina noted that the anti-corruption war of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration is yet to produce results because close associates of the President were deceiving him.

Another 249 Nigerians Returns Libya

249 more Nigerians returned back from Libya on Thursday through the help of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the European Union (EU).

The returnees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 9.47pm aboard an Afriqiyah Airbus A330-300 with Registration Number 5A-ONR.

Court Stops El-Rufai From Sacking 20,000 Teachers In Kaduna

The Kaduna division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria on Thursday, put on hold the plan by the Nasir El-Rufai led Kaduna state government to sack 21,780 primary school teachers who failed a competency test organised by the state government.

The affected teachers had on October 30, through their lawyer, Samuel Atum, filed a motion of “interlocutory injunction”, asking the court to stop the government from dismissing or disengaging any teacher on the basis of the test conducted in June 2017.

President Buhari Is Back In Nigeria From Paris

President Muhammadu Buhari is back in Nigeria after participating at the “One Planet” summit in Paris, France. He departed on Monday.

The president’s aircraft landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, at about 4.35 p.m. where he was received by senior government officials including his chief of staff, Abba Kyari, and the minister of the federal capital territory, Musa Bello, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
