Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer tells FG what to do to IPOB members in detention

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to fleeing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the Federal Government to pardon the IPOB members and other Igbo youths held in various prisons in the South-East.

In a letter to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Ejiofor said that the youths were arrested for exercising their rights of self determination as eshrined in the constitution.

EFCC Confirms Gunmen Attack On Magu’s House

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed an attack by unknown gunmen on a property belonging to its Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu on Tuesday.

Naija News reports that Magu escaped death as gunmen stormed his house in Abuja where a police sergeant attached to the house got killed in gun battle with the attackers.

Boko Haram: Army neutralizes attack in Borno state

Several Boko Haram insurgents that launched an attack on Mainok, a community located in the Kaga Local Government area of Borno state, paid with their lives as they were repelled by troops of the Nigerian Army.

Mainok is located about 73 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

Ikoyi Whistle-Blower Jets Out After Receiving N421m From FG

The whistle-blower, who assisted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to recover $43.5 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million at No. 16 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, has flown out of Nigeria after the Federal Government paid him N421 million.

The whistle-blower’s lawyer, Mr. Yakubu Galadima, said on Wednesday that his client traveled out of the country, yesterday after receiving part reward of N421 million.

Ekiti Panel Indicts Fayemi on mismanaging N25b state fund

The commission of inquiry set up by Governor Ayodele Fayose to investigate the financial transactions of Ekiti state under the administration of Mr. Kayode Fayemi who was governor of the state between 2010 and 2014 has submitted its report.

The commission, headed by Justice Silas Oyewole, submitted its report to Governor Fayose on Wednesday.
