Aisha commissions 50-bed-space maternity complex

The wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has officially commissioned a fifty bed capacity maternity building in a General Hospital in Daura, Katsina.

The newly built and well equipped Maternity Complex is part of her Pet project ‘Future Assured’ executed by the Aisha Buhari Foundation.

Aisha Buhari said the project is one of her activities carried out to complementing government efforts in improving Primary health care services delivery in the nation, TVC reports

Speaking at the occasion, Governor Aminu Bello Masari applauded the Aisha Buhari Foundation for the Construction and Equipping of the Maternal Complex, and assured the first lady that the facility would be judiciously used.

On its part, the Federal Government announced that it would partner with the states to provide more than 9,000 Primary health care facilities to be fully functional, across the country.

The Governors of Zamfara, Kebbi, and that of Imo state were also at the commisioning.

Meanwhile, Aisha Buhari launched an employment programme for men and women across the three Senatorial zones in Daura, and also commissioned a Primary school.

Wife of Katsina state Governor Zakiyya Aminu Masari on behalf women in the state, appreciated Aisha Buhari for her numerous health related and empowerment activities.
