1. Saraki won’t return to PDP – Gov Ahmed of Kwara

Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara, has disclosed the strong man of Kwara politics and the Senate President of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has no plans to return to the People’s Democratic Party.

The Governor disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Sunday, saying he also remains committed to the APC.

2. Slave trade: Falana to compel FG to sue Libyan government

Legal luminary, Femi Falana, has revealed he will not hesitate to approach the Federal High Court for an order of mandamus to compel the Federal Government to deposit the declaration at the registry of the African Court with a view to empowering Nigerian citizens to secure the enforcement of their human rights in the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

3. President Buhari jets out to France

Buhari will today, depart Abuja for France to attend a summit on climate change.

The summit, jointly organised by the United Nations, the World Bank Group, and the French Government in partnership with non-governmental organisations concerned about reversing the negative effects of climate change will be attended by over 50 world leaders according to a statement by Femi Adesina, spokesperson to President Buhari.

4. Damishi Sango, others regain freedom

Kidnapped chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the PDP and former Minister of Sports, Mr. Damishi Sango, has regained freedom, yesterday evening.

He was freed alongside those kidnapped with him as they headed for Abuja ahead of the PDP national convention which held over the weekend.

5. Buhari’s government has performed poorly – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha has slammed the performance of the Buhari led administration and blamed the administration for the agitations going on in the country.

He submitted that 89 percent of Nigerians are not happy.

6. Buhari hosts northern senators in Daura

President Buhari spent the weekend in his home town of Daura, Katsina state.

Buhari used the opportunity to visit his ranch as well as play host to a delegation of northern senators who visited him in his home country of Daura.

7. Government denies recuiting into the federal civil service

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) says it is not true that the commission is recruiting people into various Federal Government ministries.

This is according to a statement released in Abuja on Sunday by Dr Joel Oruche, the Deputy Director, Press and Public Relations.

8. Kenya’s Opposition Postpones ‘Swearing-In’ of Raila Odinga As Parallel President

Kenyan opposition has postponed plans to swear in its leader Raila Odinga as an alternative president, easing political tensions and opening a window for possible talks with the government of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenyatta was re-elected as Kenya’s president with 98 per cent of the vote in a repeat election held on Oct. 26 which Odinga boycotted.

9. Derby weekend in the English premier league

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the premier league to 11 points, after defeating United by 2 goals to 1.

The other derby match between Liverpool and Everton ended in a 1-1 draw.

10. Russia 2018: Eagles get Poland friendly

Gernot Rohr announces Eagles have secured a friendly match against the Polish national team as part of preparations for the 2018 World cup tournament in Russia.

Poland have been drawn in group H, along with Senegal, Colombia and Japan.
