Neither President Buhari nor Atiku Abubakar has publicly declared intention to run in 2019.

The Nigerian presidency has describe a claim by former vice president Atiku President Muhammadu Buhari was banned from entering the US as “false” and “fiction”.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari was banned from entering the United States because the Unites States had reservations about his religious views.

A statement released by the Presidency twitter handle said:

“The claim by former Vice President Atiku, in an interview published today, that “for about 15 years, Buhari could not enter America on account of religious considerations” is FALSE.”

“At no time was President Buhari ever forbidden from entering any country in the world.”

“This fiction being passed off as truth is mind-boggling, coming from a former Vice President of Nigeria, who should know the truth. If the former Vice President has issues to settle with American authorities, he should do so, instead of clutching at straws.”

“At no time was President Buhari, as a private person, ever forbidden from entering any country in the world. The world has always held Buhari to be a man of sterling qualities.

The ‘banned from America’ claim by former VP Atiku is FICTION, existing only in his imagination.”
