Buhari discloses intention to run for re-election in 2019

President Muhammadu Buhari has indicated that he is likely to re-contest in the 2019 elections for a second term of four years.

Buhari gave the hint in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire when he jokingly canvassed for votes from the Nigerian community during an interactive session late Tuesday night.

Libya Slave Trade: Charley boy, others to protest on Thursday at Libyan Embassy

Ikoyi whistle blower’s N421m ready for payment – Adeosun

Nigeria’s minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun has disclosed that the federal government will pay the sum of  N421,330,595 to only one individual identified for providing information that led to the recovery of alleged stolen funds hidden in a flat at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to the federal government’s whistle blower policy, informants in such cases are eligible to receive between 2.5% and 5% of any recovered money.

Finance minister suspends SEC DG, Gwarzo, over accusations of corruption
