We cannot pay all workers arrears before Christmas – Governors

The 36 Governors across the Federation have disclosed that may be unable to pay off all arrears owed workers by Christmas.

The governors explained that there is no directive from President Muhammadu Buhari to that effect.

This was contained in a statement from the office of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), yesterday.

Nigerian Navy releases 2017 list of successful candidates for DSS aptitude test

The Nigerian Navy ​has released a list of candidates scheduled to take the aptitude test for the Direct Short Service Course 25 Enlistment Exercise.

The nationwide exercise is expected to hold across 8 centres on Saturday, 2nd December 2017 by 7:30am.

2019 Elections: Wike speaks on Vice Presidential ambition

Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike has rejected reports that he is planning to contest for the seat of Vice President in 2019.

Wike, who said this while speaking at the Commissioning of some facilities at the Rivers state University, dismissed the speculations, saying it is false.

He said he would not be fooled into wasting the resources of Rivers state on any Vice Presidential seat, adding that the state funds would be utilized to develop the state.

Badoo: Lagos Police rearrests 3 suspected cult members

The Lagos State Police has rearrested three of five suspected Badoo cult  members who were recently released from prisons.

The police command has also declared a manhunt for two others who are at large.

Lagos Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, revealed the information on Tuesday, at a security meeting with traditional rulers at the palace of Oba of Ikorodu, Abdulkabir Adewale Shotobi.
