Lai Mohammed defends government’s decision to delay payment to Ikoyi whistle blower.

The controversy surrounding the identity of the actual individual that provided information that led to the recovery of funds at the Osborne Towers in Ikoyi, has been blamed for the inability of the federal government to pay the expected commission to the Ikoyi whistle blower.

The reason was put forward by the minister of information and culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed when he visited Leadership Newspaper on Tuesday.

According to the minister, the government has a responsibility to follow due process in determining the actual whistle blower since more than one individual is laying claim to the amount.
