UNILORIN denies fake admission list.

The management of the University of Ilorin has urged candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2017/2018 academic session to disregard a fake admission list currently making rounds on the internet and social media.

The University, in a statement issued on the development advised candidates to exercise patience and avoid falling into the hands of admission fraudsters.

“The attention of the Management of the University of Ilorin has been drawn to a fake admission list currently circulating on the Social Media.”

“All admission seekers should please disregard that list, as it did not emanate from the University.”

“The University of Ilorin has not released any list neither has it authorized anybody to do so.”

“Only the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) can contact admitted candidates through their individual portals and not by way of a comprehensive list.”

“So, candidates should continue to check JAMB’s CAPS Platform for any information on their admission status.”

Recall the chairman of the University of Ilorin admission committe, Prof. O.T Mustapha, had earlier in the month, appealed for calm on the part of candidates seeking admission into the University.

He acknowledged the anxiety the delay in the release of the admission list might be causing but gave assurances that the school management was working round the clock to ensure the situation is remedied as soon as possible.
