Nigerian Army Decorates 44 senior officers

Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai has today, Tuesday decorated 44 senior officers from the rank of Brigadier Generals to Major Generals.

The ceremony was held at the Army Command Guest House adjacent the Theatre Command Headquarters, Operation Lafiya Dole, in the Borno State capital, Maiduguri.

This was the first of such an event being held, in Maiduguri, considering the town is the hub of the dreaded  Boko Haram’s attacks.

The army spokesman, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman said the decoration exercise is also the biggest promotion of senior officers to two-star general in the history of the Nigerian Army.
