The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has handed Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, a contract extension.

Rohr has been rewarded with a two-year contract extension.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Amaju Pinnick announced this at an event on Monday, November 27, stating that Rohr has been given a two-year contract extension and paid up until December 2017.

Rohr led the Super Eagles on a fine run in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign which saw them finish their qualifying group unbeaten and qualified for the world cup tournament with a game to spare.

The Super Eagles were in group B and played along side Zambia, Cameroon and Zambia.

When Rohr was appointed Super Eagles boss in August 2016, he had the mandate to take Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup in Russia with his contract set to expire after the 2018 World cup tournament.

But with his new contract, the Franco-German is set to remain as Super Eagles boss till 2020.
