CAF shortlists Rohr, Eagles, Oshoala for awards

-List of nominations for Aiteo CAF awards released. 

The race for the Aiteo CAF award hots up as full list of nominees is released.

The Confederation of African Football, (CAF), have nominated the Super Eagles of Nigeria as the national team of the year, while coach Gernot Rohr is also in the running to win coach of the year.

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, is also among the nominees for the best women’s player award, while Nigeria’s U-20 women national team, Falconets, were nominated for the women’s national team of the year award.

The list of nominees for the Aiteo sponsored awards, was announced by CAF on Monday.

The eventual winners will be decided by votes from the members of the CAF technical and development committee, CAF media experts panel and independent media and TV consultants.

The awards will be presented at a gala ceremony scheduled to take place on January 4, 2018, in Accra, Ghana.
