Buhari expresses sympathy over Atiku’s exit.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday sympathised with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) John Odigie-Oyegun, over the defection of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar from the party.

Naija News gathered that Buhari conveyed his sympathy to Oyegun, at the inauguration of the National Minimum Wage Committee.

Buhari had not spoken on Atiku’s exit since he tendered his resignation letter on Friday.

Buhari, however, told Oyegun at the event, “Accept my sympathy for losing a senior member of your party.”

Punch reports that although the president did not mention a name, it was obvious that the President was referring to Atiku, who dumped the party for PDP on Friday.

Naija News reports that Buhari inaugurated a 30-member tripartite National Minimum Wage Committee at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, today.

The committee has a mandate to negotiate a new national minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
