Boko Haram: Insurgents attack army base, kill three soldiers

Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, invaded an army base and Magumeri village, leaving three soldiers dead and six others injured in Borno State.

Confirming the incident, Timothy Antigha, an army spokesperson, said “At about 6.00 p.m. on 25th November 2017, suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists attempted to attack Magumeri.

Buhari approves N164.7m for released chibok girls’ school fees

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the payment of N164,763,759 to cover the school fees of 106 Chibok girls who have regained freedom from the Boko Haram insurgents.

In a statement issued on Sunday, The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu disclosed that the money was to cater for the second semester school fees of the Chibok girls at the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, Adamawa State.

Badoo: Cultist group kills pastor in Lagos

A pastor has been on killed by individuals suspected to be members of the dreaded Badoo group.

The incident which occurred on Sunday,  happened at Lajo Road, close to transformer in Igbogbo-Bayeku, Lagos state.

Wife of the late pastor, Gloria and her 10-month-old baby, Goodness, were reported to have been found unconscious.

Boko Haram takes over Borno town

Boko Haram terrorists took control of the Borno town of Magumeri, 50 km (30 miles) from Borno State capital Maiduguri, on Saturday residents report.

The attack comes less than 48 hours after a suicide bomber killed at least 50 people at a mosque in neighbouring Adamawa state in one of the deadliest attacks since President Muhammadu Buhari came to power in 2015 pledging to end the eight-year insurgency.
