Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He announced his departure from the ruling party in a statement he issued on Friday morning.

President Buhari appoints new national minimum wage committee
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a thirty-member tripartite committee for the negotiation of a new National Minimum Wage for the country.
The committee is made up of persons from the public sector, (Federal and State Governments) and the private sector made up of the largest private employer group, the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME).

Igbo group plans 1 million man march for Buhari’s 2019 re-election
The World Igbo Youth Congress, (WIYC), has announced a decision to embark on a one-million-man march to Aso Rock this month to demand President Muhammadu Buhari seeks re-election in 2019.

Gov Ikpeazu of Abia to be awarded worst Governor by Igbo group
The World Igbo Youth Congress, (WIYC), has scored the administration of The group further said they would present him an award as the face of bad governance and worst Governor on December 10, 2017, in Umuahia.
Some suspected smugglers on Thursday attacked three officers of the Nigerian Customs Service, inflicting injuries on them, in Ogun State.
Confirming the incident, the Area Commander of the service in the state, Sanni Madugu, told newsmen that the injured officers were currently admitted to the hospital receiving treatment.
Pro-Biafra group, Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has slammed Nigeria’s Minister of information, Lai Mohammed, for his comments that the proscribed IPOB group is dead.
The group cautioned Mohammed saying that such assertion result in an uproar in the South East and South South regions.
