Ekwueme: Family discloses 8 condolence centres

8 condolence centres named for tribute Ekwueme.

The family of the late former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, has designated eight centres for Nigerians to pay tribute to the visionary leader.

Ekwueme passed away on Sunday at The London Clinic, at the age of 85.

The information was revealed by the deceased’s younger brother and the traditional ruler of Oko Community in Anambra State,  Igwe (Prof) Laz Ekwueme, on Tuesday night.

In the statement, Laz Ekwueme said one of the registers would be placed at the late leaders country home in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area.

Other locations where the condolence books  would be placed include:  Ekwueme According to him , the other locations are the Office of the Rector, ​Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State; the Nigeria High Commission, 9 Northumberland Avenue Westminster, London; ​the International Conference Centre, Abuja; No. 4 Ikoya Avenue, ​Ikoyi, Lagos;  No. ​11 Ezzikwo Street ​Independence Layout, Enugu; the Vice Chancellor’s Office, ​Ebonyi State University, ​Abakaliki, Ebonyi State; and the ​Vice Chancellor’s Office, ​Paul University ​Awka, Anambra State.
