Suicide Bombing: 30 people killed after teenager sets off bomb

No fewer than 30 persons have died in a suicide attack by a teenage boy, after early morning prayers at a Mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State.

Confirming the incident, the Adamawa State Police Command disclosed that the suicide bombing happened around 5:20am, at Kunu Araha, a suburb in Mubi North.

Chef drugs ex-Minister of Finance, steals valuables worth N10m

Peter Odion, a chef to a former Minister of Finance, Dr. Kalu Idika allegedly drugged him and carted away cash and valuables worth N10 million.

Naija News gathered that the former minister and his chef lived at Moshood Olugbani Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

It was gathered further that some weeks ago, the suspect allegedly put some sedatives into a cup of coffee he served his boss. After the latter slept off, Odion led his gang members into his apartment, where they stole a sum of N750,000, a Blackberry, a Samsung phone and other valuables valued at N10million.

FG to demolish Patience Jonathan’s multi-billion naira property

The Federal government, through the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, has marked former First Lady, Patience Jonathan‘s multi-billion naira property for demolition.

Naija News gathered that the Development Control, a department under the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMAC) stated the reason for the move, saying the property contravened the development laws in the FCT, as it was sitting on a green area.

Boko Haram: Insurgents behead 6 farmers in Borno

Six farmers have been beheaded by Boko Haram sect  at Dimge plantation, in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The massacre happened on Sunday while the innocent victims were working on their farms, an eye-witness, Jiddah Ahmad, disclosed to NAN in Jere town, close to Maiduguri, on Monday.

Army council promotes 137 senior officers

The Nigerian Army Council, on Monday 20th November 2017, approved the promotion of 45 Brigadier Generals to the rank of Major Generals and 92 Colonels to the rank of Brigadier Generals respectively.

The information is contained in a press release by the army’s director of public relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, which was obtained by Naija News.

Ekiti Govt declares death penalty for cult members

A bill which bans secret cults, terrorism, has been passed into law in Ekiti state.

The bill which assented by the Governor of the State, Ayodele Fayose, at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti, was passed into law on Monday, 2oth November, 2107.

The bill states that any person caught in the act will get death sentence.

The federal government social intervention scheme, N-Power, has released further guidelines for candidates willing to participate in the scheme.

Recall the administrators of the scheme, earlier announced to candidates who registered in 2017 that they would be able to check their status by 11:30 pm today, Monday, 20th November, 2017.
