-West Brom part ways with coach Tony Pulis.

Tony Pulis has been sacked as manager of West Brom FC.

English Premier League side, West Bromwich Albion, on Monday announced the sack of its head coach, Tony Pulis, following the 4-0 trashing of the club by Chelsea over the weekend.

59-year old Pulis was employed West Brom manager in January 2015 but has only won just twice in the last 21 league games for the Baggies, with the club languishing just a point above the relegation zone.

A statement by the club Chairman, John Williams released on the club’s website, reads, “These decisions are never taken lightly but always in the interests of the Club.

“We are in a results business and over the back end of last season and this season to date, ours have been very disappointing.

“We would like to place on record our appreciation of Tony’s contribution and hard work during a period of transition for the Club which included a change of ownership.

“We wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Meanwhile, Assistant head coach, Gary Megson has been put in charge of the first-team affairs until further notice.
