Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s trial adjourned till Dec. 5

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has today, Monday adjourned the trial of the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, until the 5th December.

The IPOB leader  is on trial together with some other persons on charges of treasonable felony.

Kanu’s case was adjourned as a result of the absence of ‎the trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako.

Justice Nyako was said to be attending the ‘All Judges’ Conference’ being organised at the National Judicial Institute, Abuja,

Meanwhile, Kanu did not appear before the court today. This is the second time the pro-Biafran leader would be absent from his court case, following the alleged invasion of his home in Abia State by the military on September 14.

Since the alleged invasion, Kanu has been declared missing his family.

However, his co-defendants and a serving Senator, Eyinnaya Abaribe, who happens to be one of the three persons standing as sureties for the bail granted the IPOB leader, was at the court proceeding today, Monday.
