Boko Haram: Chibok girls to regain freedom soon – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, has given assurances that the remaining Chibok schoolgirls still in Boko Haram captivity will be released soon.

He made the promise on Thursday at the book presentation entitled: ‘Making Steady, Sustainable Progressive for Nigeria’s Peace and Prosperity: A mid-term scorecard on the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration.’

EFCC arrests former SGF, Pius Ayim

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Chief Pius Anyim.

Ayim was arrested by the EFCC for his alleged involvement in the Centenary City fraud in Abuja.

Anyim has been detained as in undergoing interrogation by the EFCC officials, SaharaReporters have revealed.

Court orders IGP, others to pay N1m over breach of human rights

A High Court in Abuja has on ordered that the Inspector-General of Police, the FCT Commissioner of Police and one Peace Ibekwe-Abdullah pay Princess Ujunwa Udeani the sum of N1million as general damages for unlawful detention.

The directive was given by the presiding judge Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf, on Thursday in Maitama, Abuja.

Jonathan reacts to Tinubu’s corruption claims against his administration

Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has countered the claims by the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed that corruption reigned supreme during his administration.
