Wenger proud of Iwobi’s goal scoring exploits with the Super Eagles.

Coach Arsene Wenger of Arsenal FC has expressed optimism that Nigeria’s youngster, Alex Iwobi would be able to carry his brilliant goal scoring form over to the team and improve his overall confidence in front of goal.

The 21 year old has been in impressive form for the Super Eagles, recently scoring a brace in the team’s surprise comeback win against South American power house, Argentina in a friendly match played on Tuesday in Russia.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s premier league clash with Tottenham, Wenger said; “What we want from him is to add goals to his game, and these kind of experiences (playing and scoring for Nigeria) will help him to be confident to score.”

Wenger will be hoping Iwobi will be able to replicate his goal scoring form for Arsenal in this weekend’s  North London derby against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Meanwhile, Iwobi himself has described injured Santi Carzola as the most skillful player in Arsenal.

“Unfortunately, he is injured now, but I have to say Santi Cazorla,” Iwobi declared when asked by Soccerladuma who he thinks is Arsenal’s most skillful player.

“When I first entered the team, I was baffled that he is so good with his left foot and right foot.”

“I think, based on his ability, he is the best football player I have played with.”

“Whenever he comes to the changing room, he still always has a smile on his face,” added Iwobi.

“Everyone is just buzzing for him to be around. He is really missed.”
