Maina: Senator chases out journalists, bars them from covering hearing

The National Assembly has yet again sent out journalists from the hearing room, of Senate adhoc committee’s sitting to probe the circumstances surrounding the return of Abdulrasheed Maina

Naija News recalls that about a week after pressmen were prohibited from reporting the initial sitting of the adhoc committee investigating Maina’s reinstatement and activities surrounding his re-admittance into the civil service as a director‎.

Reporters covering the Senate had assembled on room 221 in the Senate new building, venue of the hearing, to cover proceedings of the appearance of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami.

However, they were walked out by the committee’s chairman, Senator Emmanuel Paulker.
