Kwara State Police 24 suspects paraded in Kwara State.

Over the weekend, Kwara State Police paraded 24 suspected criminals arrested from across the state.

During the parade, the state Commissioner of Police, Lawan Ado, said the suspected criminals were arrested for offences ranging form kidnapping to armed robbery, unlawful possesion of arms, among other offences.

Among the paraded suspects were eight individuals apprehended for criminal conspiracy, unlawful possession of firearms, culpable homicide and for being members of secret cult.

Also, two out of a four-man armed robbery gang, said to focus on attacking filling stations in Ilorin, were paraded.

The CP said the police recovered one single barrel locally made gun, one double barrel locally made gun and five cartridges, were recovered from the robbery suspects.

Speaking further, The police commissioner revealed that that exhibits such as iron rod, one Itel phone, two techno phones and N38, 975 were recovered.

He said the two suspects had admitted to the committing the offences.

He noted that the police was working on arresting the remaining gang members said to be in possession of firearms.

The CP cautioned criminals to either vacate the state or face the full weight of the law.
