Biafra: Nigeria’s Unity is negotiable, Chidoka criticises Buhari over IPOB

A governorship candidate of the United Peoples Party, UPP, Chief Osita Chidoka has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for sending soldiers to the residence of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Chidoka also criticised President Buhari’s statement that Nigeria’s unity was not negotiable, maintaining that “the unity of Nigeria is negotiable and was indeed negotiated by founding fathers such as Sir Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo.”

President Buhari Orders Investigation Over ‘Unknown Disease’ Disease In Jigawa State.

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Minister of Heath, Prof. Isaac Adewole to investigate reports of an ‘unknown disease’ that has led to the death of several children in Jigawa State.

The President also directed the Minister to deploy all the necessary machinery to combat the outbreak of the disease reported in Gidan Dugus village of Wangara district, Dutse Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

There was public display of reconciliation between the Chief of Staff (CoS) to the President, Abba Kyari and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Winifred Oyo-Ita, on Wednesday a week after their scuttle over leaked memo on the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms.

Biafra: IPOB posters, handbills on election boycott flood streets ahead of Anambra election

Streets and roads accross Onitsha and other places in the East have been flooded posters and handbills by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), calling on Biafrans to boycott election in Anambra State and other states.

The posters had picture of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu with inscriptions like, ‘No election in Biafran land and Anambra State,’ and ‘Vote for referendum’ were pasted at strategic places, telling the people to stay indoors during the November 18 Anambra governorship election.

EFCC recovers $2.9bn in 30 months – Magu

Mr. Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has revealed an estimate of the amount recovered by the anti-graft agency in the last two years.

The EFCC boss spoke at a meeting with Dr. Nassar Abaalkhail, Head of International Collaboration, National Anti-Corruption Commission, Saudi Arabia.
