Buhari had prior knowledge of planned Maina reinstatement – Oyo-Ita

Head of the civil service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, says she warned President Muhammadu Buhari about the reinstatement and implications of reinstating Abdulrasheed Maina, ex-chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), into the civil service.

Maina, despite been a fugitive on the run, was controversially reinstated into the federal civil service and posted to the ministry of interior after earlier been dismissed from the service in 2013 and declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of fraud.

Ondo residents receive insecticide treated nets to forestall malaria

Following the launch of the distribution exercise of insecticide treated mosquito nets last Friday in Akure, by Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the delivery has begun across the 18 local government council areas of the state.

Residents in the state came out en masse at the various distribution points in all the local government areas of the state.

Jonathan demands N1 billion from Olisa Metuh to testify in court

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has sought an order directing Olisah Metuhto deposit a sum of N1bn to cover travelling expenses for himself and his security personnel from his home town in Bayelsa State, to Abuja.

Justice Abang Okon, following several applications by Olisa Metuh, had ordered Jonathan to testify in defence of the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Cable reports that Bani Guest House, a popular lodge along the Langtang highway, is usually patronized by the girls where they attend Sunday evening parties and their boyfriends also come there to visit them.
