The Senior Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has announced that the President will, “In the coming days”, will make a decision about the scandalous reinstatement of the embattled former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina.

Salami ‘rejects’ appointment as chairman of corruption cases monitoring committee
Ayo Salami, former President of the Court of Appeal, turned down the offer to be Chairman of the Corruption and Financial Crime Cases Trial Monitoring Committee on Thursday, barely a month after he was appointed to the position by Walter Onnoghen, Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Appeal court orders EFCC to seize Tompolo’s properties
A court of appeal sitting in Lagos, has dismissed the appeal filed by Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, seeking to set aside the decision of the Federal High Court, Lagos which empowered the EFCC to seize all the properties belonging to the ex-militant commander.

Robbers invade bank in Ondo, kill two policemen
Suspected armed robbers numbering about 15, on Thursday, stormed a Skye Bank branch in Ifon, headquarters of Ose local government area of Ondo state, killing two policemen.
According to eye witness reports, the armed suspects arrived the bank premises around 3 pm and in order to gain entrance, blew up the bank’s bullet-proof door with substance suspected to be dynamite.
