PDP national chairmanship aspirants to pay N3m for nomination form

-PDP approves nomination fees for contestants interested in positions within the party.

-The party’s national convention is scheduled to hold in December 2017.

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) at the end of its  76th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, approved fees for the purchase of nomination forms for all positions to be contested in the December 9 convention.

A communiqué signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, and made available to newsmen, revealed the nomination form for office of the National Chairman goes for N3 million, while that of the Deputy National Chairman is N2 million.

He said, “Cost of nomination form for the office of the National Secretary is N2 million. All other national officers including the National Publicity Secretary, National Treasurer amongst others will pay the sum of N1.5 million each, while ex-officio members will pay N500, 000.”

As reported by Naija News, the PDP national convention is expected to hold in December where the party will elect new officers to run its affairs and get the party ready ready for the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

The party has zoned the party’s national chairmanship position to the Southern region of the country while the party’s presidential candidate is expected to emerge from the northern region based on PDP’S zoning arrangement.
