Pasuma at 50: Fuji star pays homage to Ooni of Ife

-Wasiu Alabi Pasuma visits Ife on a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.

-He was in the town to receive royal blessings on the occasion of his 50th birthday celebration.

Popular fuji musician, Alh. Wasiu Alabi, popularly known as Pasuma, recently, paid a courtesy call on the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II in his palace to receive fatherly blessings as he celebrates his 50th birthday anniversary.

Speaking during the visit, Pasuma stated his respect and admiration for the revered king.

The fuji superstar also used the occasion to acknowledge the Ooni’s efforts at uniting the entire Yoruba race.

“I decided to pay homage to the foremost African King as my father whom I needed his fatherly blessing to mark my 50th birthday.”

“Baba, you are great you have indeed made us proud as our overall father in Yoruba land. That is why I have come to identify with you in your mission of peace, unity and progress for our race and Africa. Kabiyesi, please pray for me as your son as I will be marking my 50th birthday very soon.”

In his response, before declaring royal blessings on him,the Ooni of Ife, commended Pasuma for using music to promote the Yoruba culture as well as the unity of the country.

“I’m your fan from time and I still remain your fan. May the Almighty Olodumare bless you with good health, long life and prosperity as you’re now 50 years of age. We will surely celebrate you.” he said.
