FG set to establish University of Petroleum Resources in Delta

-Nigerian Government is set to establish the University of Petroleum Resources in Delta State.

-President Buhari reinforces his support for the people of the Niger-Delta region.

The federal government has concluded plans to establish the University of Petroleum Resources in Effurun, Delta State.

Naija News gathered that this development comes after President Muhammadu Buhari signed into law of the bill establishing the specialized institution which is charged with training and research in petroleum technologies.

President Buhari had on Tuesday in Abuja vowed to support the socio-economic development of the Niger Delta region.

“This administration is fully committed to supporting the Niger Delta in its endeavours to achieve socio-economic development,” he said.

The president therefore, urged all communities and the people in the region to maintain peace through dialogue in resolving all conflicts not only among them, but also with business entities and the authorities.
