-Nigeria moves up to 41st position in the world in latest FIFA rankings.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles moved up 3 places to rank 41st in the World and retain the fifth position in Africa in the latest FIFA world rankings.

According to the rankings released by the World Football governing body, Nigeria had 721 points compared to the 696 it accrued in September.

Tunisia overtook Egypt to become the new number one in Africa and 28th in the world with 834 points while Egypt dropped to second and 30th in the world with 818 points.

Senegal is ranked third in Africa and 32nd in the world with 815 points while DR Congo occupies the fourth position on the continent and 35th in the world with 751 points and Nigeria rounding up the top five positions in Africa.

Current African champions, Cameroon sit sixth in the continent and 42nd in the world with 718 points.

For the world rankings, Germany retained the number one position in the world with 1631 points while Brazil is second with 1619 points.

Portugal is third, Argentina fourth, Belgium fifth, Poland sixth and France in the seventh position.
