NNPC Scandal: PENGASSAN, NUPENG support NNPC boss, Baru
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) have pledged their support for Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Dr Maikanti Baru.
The unions’ pledge was made in Abuja in a statement given by Mr Ndu Ughamadu, NNPC Group General Manager Group Public Affairs Division.

NYSC: Three corps members dead, one kidnapped
Tragedy struck in the Assakio area of the Lafia, Nasarawa State as three members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) have been confirmed dead.
Naija News gathered that two of the deceased; Oguntola Wasiu Babatunde and Danjuma Jamil Salihu drowned in a swimming pool and their bodies were found floating on the bank of Assakio River on Sunday while their female colleague, Memuna Ahmad Yarwa died from child birth complications.

Nigerian Army Launches Operation Crocodile Smile II in Lagos, Ogun
Nigerian Army has commenced its 2017 training excercise tagged Operation Crocodile Smile II, in areas of Lagos and Ogun states, covered by troops of 81 Division.
The military revealed that exercise beganon October 7, 2017, in Ogun and Lagos,and is scheduled to end on October 28, 2017.

Kaduna police officers protest over unpaid salaries
Officers of the Kaduna Police have embarked on a peaceful protest over the non-payment of their August and September salaries.
The police officer, numbering about 2,000 are protesting at the entrance of the Salaries Office within the Command headquarters in Kaduna Town.

2019 Elections: Buhari should seek re-Election – Northern Group
The Youths under the aegis of North Central Youth Leaders Forum have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to seek re-election as the President in the 2019 election.
The youths made the call in a statement issued at the end of its one day general assembly meeting held in Minna, Niger State capital on Sunday.
