Woman arraigned for pouring hot peppery water on husband’s private part

-Ngozi allegedly poured a pot of hot water with pepper on her husband’s private part on October 1st.

A 31-year old woman, identified as Ngozi O., who allegedly poured a pot of hot water mixed with pepper on her husband’s private part was on Thursday arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

Naija News gathered that the accused poured the pot of hot water with pepper on the private part of her husband Igwe O. at their residence in Ebute Meta at 3am on October 1st after an argument which ensued between the duo.

The accused was therefore charged with attempted murder which she pleaded not guilty to.

The offence contravened Section 230 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and punishable with life imprisonment.

Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias, in his verdict granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

The Magistrate said the surety must show proof of tax payment in the last three years to the state government.

The case was adjourned until October 16 for further hearing.
