FRSC officials help pregnant woman deliver her baby

-FRSC officials deliver a pregnant woman who was on transit.

The Federal Road Safety Commission,FRSC, Ogun State Command, on Wednesday helped a pregnant woman, Ajoke Ahmed, deliver her baby.

Naija News gathered that the Command’s Public Education Officer,Florence Okpe, said the pregnant woman who was on transit along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, among other passengers on a commercial bus before she went into labour.

‎She said the driver of the bus drove into the command’s premises to inform the authority about the development.

Ms. Okpe added that a ‎team at the Sagamu Accident and Emergency Clinic immediately examined the pregnant woman.

She said the clinic was not well equipped to take her delivery, then the ambulance was prepared to take her to the nearest hospital.

“Within this process the pregnant woman gave birth to a baby girl at about 1215hrs inside the Command’s Clinic,” Ms. Okpe explained.

She said a medical examination conducted by the medical doctor confirmed the baby and mother to be in good condition

She added that the families of the new mother have been contacted.
