More details have emerged on the rift between Nigeria’s minister of state for petroleum resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Kachikwu wrote a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari in which he reported the disregard for official processes as well as acts of insubordination by NNPC’s Group Managing Director, Dr Maikanti Baru.

The minister also expressed surprise on how his memo to President Buhari, which he regarded as an internal document, found its way to the public domain.
