OAU to host dance scholars and practitioners

-The association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria to hold its 5th national conference in OAU, Osun state.

The Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile-Ife, will between October 3 and 6 host the fifth national conference of the Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria.

The three-day event is in collaboration with the Osun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism along with OAU and is tagged ‘Dance As Therapy For National Security And Economic Stability’.

A statement signed by the spokesperson of the Association, Prof. Jeleel Ojuade, noted that the conference will feature paper presentations, workshops and round table discussions.

“Osun State Governor, Ogbeni. Rauf Aregbesola, is expected to be the guest of honour, while the Special Adviser to the governor on Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Taiwo Oluga, will be special guest.

keynote speaker will be Prof. Bakare Ojo Rasaki; lead paper will be presented by Prof. Tor Lorapu and chief host is the VC of OAU, Prof. Eyitayo Ogungbenro.
