-Kwara gets N3.5 billion September allocation from the federal government.

The government of Kwara state received a total of N3.5 billion from FAAC as its share of the federal allocation for September 2017.

This was disclosed by the state’s commissioner for finance, Alhaji Demola Banu, via a statement on Friday in Ilorin.

According to him, the amount represented an increase over the N2.5 billion it got in August.

The breakdown given by Banu shows the state got N2.7 billion as statutory allocation and Value Added Tax (VAT) of N813 million, to make a total of N3.5 billion.

Meanwhile, recall Kwara State was also listed as part of the 23 states that exceeded their borrowing limit for 2015 according to the recent Fiscal Responsibility Commission report.
