Naija News gathered that Folashade stabbed her husband after an argument which occurred between them on August 20, 2017, following Folashade’s accusation that he was having an extra-marital affair.

Folashade is therefore facing a one count charge of murder.

Inspector Akpan Nseyo, told the court on Tuesday that he recovered, at the scene, a kitchen knife with which the suspect stabbed her husband.

“I also saw a towel soaked with blood on the floor. There were bloodstains from the inner room to the living room down to the entrance door,’’ he said.

It was learnt that the couple who lived together for 3 years, had two kids together.

The defendant, however said she did not intend to kill her husband, adding that they were both struggling for the knife when it mistakenly fell and injured her husband.
