Badoo: Don’t send troops to South West, Afenifere tells military

The pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere, has warned the military against deploying  soldiers in the south-west region of the country to combat the menace of the Badoo gang.

The group also stated the activities of the Badoo gang had been brought under control by the joint efforts of the police, the Afenifere group as well as other security establishments.

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s brother tells Nigerian Army to produce his corpse

The younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB),Emmanuel has asked the Nigerian Army to produce his corpse if he has been killed or he should be released to the police if they had captured him.

Naija News gathered that since the soldiers invaded their Afarakwu residence in Abia State on September 14, Nnamdi Kanu and his parents are still no where to be found.

IPOB lambastes FG for threatening to arrest Nnamdi Kanu’s sureties

The Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, on Tuesday said some lawyers serving under the federal government are inefficient and lack the understanding of the efficacy of judicial matters.

The group made the claims while reacting to a statement made the federal government that the sureties of Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader would be arrested and charged to court if Kanu fails to appear in court on the adjourned date which is October.

Saudi Arabia grants women permission to drive cars

The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman, has issued a royal decree which for the the first time in history, will grant Saudi Arabian women the right to drive cars.

According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the royal order issued, will allow both men and women to be issued drivers’ licenses.

Nigeria vs Zambia : Rohr reveals list of invited players

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has released a 23 man list of players invited by the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr to prosecute the 2018 world cup qualifying game against the Chipolopolo of Zambia.

A win for the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will guarantee the team a place in the Russia 2018 world cup tournament with a game to spare.

Saraki reshuffles Senate Committees

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday announced the reshuffling of the chairmanship of senate committees.

He said the move was designed to strengthen the red chamber and ensure that proper oversight functions were carried out.
