Chelsea and Atletico agree fee over Diego Costa’s transfer

-He won’t be able to play for Atletico until January 2018.

Chelsea football club of England have announced they have reached an agreement with Spain’s Atletico Madrid over the transfer of controversial striker Diego Costa.

The deal is however subject to a medical as well as the player agreeing personal terms.

The Spanish star will turn 29 by October this year but has been frozen out of action by Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte.

Costa had initially joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in 2014 for a £32 million fee and he has won two premier league and one league cup during his time at Stamford Bridge.

He has scored 58 goals in 120 appearances since arriving at Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid won’t be able to officially register Costa until January 1, when the Spanish transfer window re-opens and their FIFA transfer ban ends.
