The Igbo Community living in Kano State, Northwest Nigeria have distance themselves from the activities of the Biafra Agitators of the Southeast and its leader Nnamdi Kanu.

The Igbo Community leaders in Kano appealed to the federal government to address issues bedevelling the equality states and division of wealth in the country. The move they say will bring an end to the current agitations.

President General of the Igbo Community in Kano, Ebenezer Chima made this to news men in the state. He noted that the Igbos in Kano condemned in entirety the crisis in Abia State.

On their part, other ethnic community leaders appealed to the non-indigenous residents of Kano State not to panic and support security agencies in the cause of discharging their duties of protecting lives and properties of the citizens.
