Zambia, yesterday condemned Algeria to a 1-0 defeat in a 2018 World Cup qualifier played at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui in Constantine.
The 67th minute goal from Patson Daka, ensured the Chipolopolo completed the double over the North Africans, defeating them twice within the space of four days.
With this result, Zambia maintains second position in the Group B of the African qualifying zone with seven points, three points behind leaders, Nigeria who settled for a 1-1 draw with Cameroon in Yaounde.
The Chipolopolo of Zambia will now slug it out with the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the sole qualifying ticket for Russia 2018 in the group.
Their next fixture is against the Super Eagles on October 7 in Nigeria.
