The Chairman of the electoral commission, Wafula Chebukati, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

It will be recalled that the supreme court had annulled the result of the August 8 poll, ordering that a fresh election be held within 60 days.

However, President Uhuru Kenyatta condemned the court decision and expressed his disagreement.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga commended the court for the annulment.

The election commission had earlier said only Kenyatta and Odinga would be on the ballot paper.
