Hector Jobarteh killing: Police arrest 3 suspects

The  Lagos State Police Command have announced the arrest of 3 suspects in connection with last Sunday’s assassination of Hector Oluwaseun Jobarteh, winner of the 2006 Gulder Ultimate Search, GUS, reality TV, Season 3.

As reported by Naija News, Jobarteh was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his residence in New Oko-Oba, area of Lagos State just after picking up his younger brother from Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

Chimamanda denies being a member of Biafra

Renowned author, Chimamanda Adichie, has debunked some write-ups attributed to her in which she supposedly supported the current agitation for  Biafra.

Adichie denied the allegations in a Facebook post on Monday.

The award-winning novelist shared a screenshot of one of the many headlines which quoted her saying she supports the  quest for Biafra.

Adichie, stated that she never made such a statement on Biafra.

Flooding: 15 die in Cross River

Fifteen people have died in severe flooding in 21 communities in Cross River in July and August this year.

The Director-General of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency, Mr John Inaku, made the disclosure while assessing the extent of damage in flooded areas in Calabar South on Monday.

Four major streets in Calabar South, including Goldie, Target, Yellow-Duke, Ekpo-Abasi and others were heavily flooded after a down pour early on Monday.

Police kill notorious robber and kidnapper who attempted to assassinate Senator Melaye

The Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, Kogi State Command disclosed on Monday in Lokoja, that the police have killed a suspected notorious robber and kidnapper who had been on their wanted list for many years.

NAN reports that Mr. Inalegwu said that the suspect, identified as Lukman, was killed by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Obeiba, Ihima area of the state on Sunday afternoon, adding that he was shot during an encounter with a team of SARS operatives.

Premature death awaits anyone who sleeps with Olori Wuraola – Ifa priest

A yoruba traditionalist, Yemi Elebuibon, has disclosd that any man who sleeps with the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Wuraola Ogunwusi, will die prematurely.

Olori Wuraola who reverted to her maiden name, Zaynab Otiti-Obanor, in August after confirming that her marriage to the Ooni of Ife has crashed irretrievably.

The Ifa priest noted that the former queen must undergo some ritual cleansing with any man before they can become intimate, adding that the cleansing process is important to enable the Olori to regain a normal life.

Kenya announces new date for fresh presidential election

Following the annulment of Kenyan presidential election, the electoral commission in Kenya has declared that a fresh presidential election will hold on October 17.

The Chairman of the electoral commission, Wafula Chebukati, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

It will be recalled that the supreme court had annulled the result of the August 8 poll, ordering that a fresh election be held within 60 days.
